Daphne among fastest growing
Two metropolitan areas in the Gulf Coast aerospace region were among the fastest growing in the nation between 2012 and 2013, according to newly released figures from the U.S. Census Bureau. Alabama's Daphne-Fairhope-Foley MSA, with an estimated population of 195,540, had a population increase of 2.6 percent during the one-year period, 9th largest among 390 metro areas. The Daphne-Fairhope-Foley MSA includes all of Baldwin County. In Florida, the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin MSA, with an estimated population of 253,618, had a population increase of 2.3 percent, 15th fastest in the nation.
