Group will pitch to suppliers

More than 30 business and civic officials from five counties will be in Hamburg, Germany, this week to make sure aerospace suppliers know about Northwest Florida. Some members of the Gulf Coast Aerospace Coalition have been in Germany since last week. They attended the aviation forum, as did representatives from South Alabama. Other delegates from Northwest Florida started heading out this weekend for Hamburg for the Coalition-sponsored leadership forum that begins Monday. About 300 of the 1,000 Airbus suppliers have operations in Hamburg, where Airbus has an assembly line, but it took 20 years to develop. (Source:, 12/06/13)
