EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Melissa Tate, currently the lead engineer and deputy of the Propulsion Test Branch in the Test Division of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Tennessee's Arnold Air Force Base, will take on a new role as McKinley Climatic Laboratory site director beginning next month. Tate will become the first female director in the 75-year history of the lab. Tate will oversee climatic testing of various military and commercial systems in the facility.
