MOBILE, Ala. - Mobile County Commissioners on Monday dedicated $15 million toward a new international airport project near downtown Mobile that is over 80 percent funded before construction begins. The money will mostly go toward road work near the new terminal. Of the $15 million, $5 million will go directly toward the terminal project. The balance is expected to pay for improving several roads within the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley where the new terminal will be built within the next two years. (source: aldotcom, 03/28/22)
