Florida aero strength highlighted
Florida can lead the nation in aircraft manufacturing, according to a just released report by Florida TaxWatch. The study says that during the last 10 years, the number of aircraft manufacturing establishments in Florida increased by almost 60 percent. It credits the state's tax policies and Enterprise Florida’s application of incentives. The report, "Ready for Takeoff," says commercial aviation in the state is expected to increase by 5 percent annually during the next 20 years. Florida, which in late 2013 was ranked by PricewaterhouseCoopers as the most attractive state for aircraft manufacturing, is second to California in the number of aviation and aerospace establishments.
