Airbus to learn from Eurocopter

COLUMBUS, Miss. – An American Eurocopter plant that opened less than a decade ago to assemble helicopters is now more efficient than its European counterpart. And officials from Airbus, which plans to build an A320 assembly line in Mobile, Ala., are taking a close look to benefit from that plant's experience. The Mississippi plant, which builds helicopters from the ground up for the U.S. military, law enforcement and others, is a subsidiary of EADS, which is also the parent of Airbus.
