T-34 training ends at Whiting Field

MILTON, Fla. -- Naval Air Station Whiting Field had its final training flight of a T-34 Turbo Mentor Thursday, marking the transition to the T-6B Texan II. The student pilot was 1st Lt. Sarah Horn, and her flight instructor was Cmdr. John Hensel. Most of the remaining Whiting Field T-34s will be sent to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas, where the Navy continues to train with that model.
