Hurlburt general to lead probe
Brig. Gen. Stephen A. Clark of the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field, Fla., has been appointed to head an investigation into the Nov. 26 deaths of Pakistani soldiers during an engagement near Pakistan's border with Afghanistan. Marine Corps Gen. James N. Mattis, commander of U.S. Central Command, directed Clark to provide an initial report on the incident by Dec. 23. NATO, the Afghan and Pakistan governments are also invited to name representatives to the team.
