Two injured in helo crash

Two people were hurt Tuesday when an Army helicopter crashed at a training base in South Alabama, military officials said. The “aviation mishap” involved a UH-72 Lakota occurred during flight training with two on board, according to a news release from Fort Rucker. The incident occurred at Fort Rucker’s Brown Stagefield heliport near New Brockton. The two people on board were evacuated for medical treatment. The cause has not been released.
