MOBILE, Ala. - The Airbus manufacturing facility in Mobile delivered the first U.S.-made A220 passenger jet Thursday to Delta Air Lines. The carrier took delivery of the A220-300 in a milestone for Delta. Its the first A220-300 type aircraft. It currently has 31 A220-100. Airbus builds both the A320 and the A220 in Mobile. It's only the second site where A220s are built. The other site is in MIrabel, Quebec, Canada. “The delivery of the first U.S.-built A220-300 is a historic moment that highlights Airbus’ growing industrial footprint in North America and makes us all extremely proud,” said C.
