Airport leadership changes
PENSACOLA, Fla. - Pensacola International Airport has a new director today. Matt Coughlin, who had been deputy director, took over as director Monday with the retirement of Dan Flynn. Coughlin was the commanding officer of Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton from 2011 to 2014. He became assistant director of Pensacola's airport from 2014 until 2017, when left to become interim Escambia County administrator. He resigned from that post and returned to the airport in September 2019. He becomes director at a time when airports are still coping with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.(Source: GCAC, 06/29/20)
