Contract: Alliant Tech, $8.8M

Alliant TechSystems Operations LLC – ATK Tactical Propulsion and Control, Rocket Center, W.Va., has been awarded a not-to-exceed $8,762,690 firm-fixed-price contract for low rate initial production modification (PZ0001) to previously awarded contract FA8681-19-C-0016 for the BLU-111 warhead. This modification provides for the definitization for a quantity of BLU-111 warheads produced under the basic contract. Work will be performed in Rocket Center, West Virginia, and is expected to be complete by April 30, 2020. Fiscal 2019 ammunition procurement funds in the amount of $8,762,690 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity. (Source: DoD, 09/17/19)
