Airport name change delayed

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. -- Okaloosa County commissioners voted Tuesday to rename Destin Airport by adding “Executive” to the middle of its name. But they delayed changing the name of Northwest Florida Regional Airport to Destin-Ft. Walton Beach International Airport. The commission decided to delay any decision on the larger, commercial airport because two commissioners wanted more time and there was also a technical issue with the documents.
