FAIRHOPE, Ala. -- Nearly a year after the groundbreaking, the Baldwin County school system's $2.7 million aviation training facility is still under construction at the H.L. "Sonny" Callahan Airport in Fairhope. Masonry work has taken longer than anticipated, said school system spokesman Terry Wilhite. If there are no weather delays, the building should be completed by the end of December. Students will begin classes at the site in January, according to Wilhite. (Source:
