Contract: Lockheed, $246.6M

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $246,613,000 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-12-C-0004) to develop, test, and certify two Drag Chute Systems for the Low Rate Initial Production Lot VII F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (70 percent), and Edwards Air Force Base, Edwards, Calif. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in July 2019. International partner funds in the amount of $90,000,000 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
