F-22 move to be in 2014
TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- As a result of a recent Air Force decision, the aircraft and personnel for an operational F-22 Raptor squadron are now scheduled to transfer to Tyndall in the spring of 2014. The transfer of the fighter squadron from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., to Northwest Florida involves 620 active duty and 230 Air Force Reserve manpower authorizations. Twenty-one F-22s and seven T-38 Talons will move from Holloman to Tyndall. Until the arrival, Tyndall will continue training pilots on the F-22 while preparing for the expanded mission.
