Airbus is laying off 14 subcontractors in the coming weeks at its engineering center in Mobile, Ala., a result of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the aerospace industry. Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury had previously said Airbus plans to “right-size” business during a sharp downturn from the pandemic, which he called the “gravest crisis” in the history of the aerospace industry.
