F-35 nose gear collapses

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – An Air Force F-35A that returned to base after an in-flight emergency was photographed with its nose pointed down after its nose gear collapsed while it was on the flight line. The plane from the 58th Fighter Squadron had the ground incident after noon Wednesday, according to the 33rd Fighter Wing. Nobody was injured. The flight line is near the runway Eglin shares with the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. No commercial traffic was affected.
