Contract: Technical Systems, $10.6M
Technical Systems Integration Inc., Chesapeake, Va., is awarded a $10,585,142 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for depot-level repair, overhaul, and modification for the MK-105 magnetic minesweeping gear. The MK105 Magnetic Influence Minesweeping System is a high-speed catamaran hydrofoil platform which is towed behind the MH-53E helicopter and is used to sweep magnetic influence mines. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $54,044,081. Work will be performed in Panama City, Fla., and is expected to be completed by August 2019. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding in the amount of $2,657,763 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with three offers received.
