PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Retired Navy Capt. Sterling Gilliam is the new director of the National Naval Aviation Museum at Naval Air Station Pensacola. Gilliam follows Bob Rasmussen, who retired as director in 2014. Gilliam graduated from Aviation Officer Candidate School at NAS Pensacola in 1983. Over 27 years, he flew 22 aircraft aboard multiple carrier groups, accumulated more than 4,600 flight hours. (Source: Pensacola News Journal 01/01/16)
