Contract: SAIC, $37.9M
NASA has awarded Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) of McLean, Va., a modification to the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) contract which provides and manages the vast majority of NASA’s information technology (IT) communications infrastructure services. The NICS contract is a cost-plus award fee/cost-plus incentive fee contract which began June 1, 2011, and consists of a three-year base period, one two-year option, one three-year option and one two-year option. The period of performance runs through May 31, 2021, if all options are exercised. This $37.9 million contract modification adds NICS support for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) and National Space Science & Technology Center campuses. NICS support includes: cable plant, emergency warning system, public address, radio services, telephone services, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), MSFC and MAF physical access control systems, emergency telecommunications, facsimile services and conference room support.
