Residents may hear exercise

PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- Air Force Special Operations Command is hosting a field exercise to train forces in combat scenarios through May 3. Training events will take place in parts of Liberty, Calhoun and Franklin counties, but may spill into Bay County airspace. Most of the exercises will be at night, said a military spokesman. In addition to hearing aircraft noise at night, residents may also hear simulated munitions fire.
