F-35 to visit Eglin


EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will make its inaugural landing at Eglin April 21 and remain at the base for four days. Base officials invited local mayors, county commissioners and school board members to visit see the plane that has been the focal point of several lawsuits. The city of Valparaiso wants to stop the Air Force from establishing a JSF training center at the base, but the county is suing the city to get it to drop its suit. No public events are scheduled.
