EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - The Air Force tested its new 16-bomb-carrying configuration of the A-10C Thunderbolt II back in early February, and photos were released late last month. Eglin announced the test in a tweet on March 31. The photo released says the new configuration tested by the 96th Test Wing at Eglin improves the A-10s capability to carry precision guided and unguided munitions.
