PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Blue Angels will not have the homecoming air show in November at Naval Air Station Pensacola, but it will be held at Pensacola Beach. NAS Pensacola commander Capt. Tim Kinsella made the announcement on base Thursday morning, saying the recent resurgence of the COVID virus was behind the decision to cancel the show at the base and move it to the beach. Navy officials also canceled last year's base show due to COVID restrictions, but rather than a cancellation this year, community leaders decided to carry out the 75th anniversary show Nov. 5-6 at the beach instead.
