Blue Angels opt out of air show

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Navy's Blue Angels have decided to opt out of the July 8-11 Pensacola Beach Air Show. Usually a two-day event, it was spread out over four days to allow for more social distancing. Organizers say the flight demonstration team canceled due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19. The Santa Rosa Island Authority said it had received a statement from the Blue Angels that said in part that "canceling our flights during the Pensacola Beach Air Show is the only way we can ensure the safety of our community we love so much."
