Aviation center eyes expansion
MOBILE, Ala. -- Enterprise State Community College's Alabama Aviation Center wants to expand at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley. It currently offers the state's only aviation maintenance program, provides both airframe and powerplant training as well as dual-enrollment programs in both Mobile and Baldwin counties for high school students. Kyle Cook, the center's director, said the program has outgrown its facility adjacent to the recently opened AIDT Alabama Aviation Training Center and is working with the Mobile Airport Authority to secure possible new space in the Aeroplex's warehouse district.
