Tyndall impact $617.8M
TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Tyndall Air Force Base has a $617.8 million economic impact on Bay County and the surrounding area, according to Air Force officials. There are an estimated 3,395 active duty military personnel at the base and 4,132 dependents. The economic impact considers payrolls, expenditures for contracts, materials, equipment, services, construction and other procurement actions on the economy of the region. The base is home to 31 F-22 Raptor fighter jets, 10 T-38s and about 98 aerial drone targets.
