Army SFG welcomes public
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Army 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) opened its doors Wednesday to the public. About 2,000 people showed up at the Special Forces' cantonment south of Crestview. The event was part of the group's Red Empire Week, designed to reunite soldiers with their families after year-long deployments to Afghanistan and to show appreciation for the community. Visitors Day featured about 15 displays for the public to inspect the weapons, vehicles and technologies soldiers use and to let them explain their day-to-day duties.
