CV-22 crash blamed on crew
HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- Crew failure caused the CV-22 Osprey crash near Navarre that injured five airmen in June. An Air Force investigation cited no mechanical problems. The airmen, assigned to the 1st Special Operations Wing, were injured when the aircraft went down June 13. The Osprey was flying in formation on a routine training mission over the Eglin reservation when it failed to keep clear of the leading aircraft’s wake, went into a roll, crashed and burned.
