Two BRAC rounds possible
The Pentagon plans to request two new base closure rounds, one in 2013 and another in 2015, to help cut almost a half a trillion dollars in spending over the next decade, according to Air Force Times. The spending cuts imposed on the military are expected to result in the elimination of tens of thousands of troops and cuts in aircraft orders, further reducing the need for military infrastructure.
