Inouye: Split tanker buy too costly

The chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee now opposes directing the Pentagon to buy tankers from both Boeing and Northrop Grumman. Sen. Daniel Inouye said in an interview today that his view has evolved since last month when he hadn’t ruled it out and said he needed more data from the Pentagon.
