IndiGo firms up Airbus order

India's largest domestic airline by market share, IndiGo, firmed up last year's commitment and ordered 250 A320neo family aircraft. The agreement was signed Aug. 15, the 69th Independence Day of India. With this order the A320neo order backlog is catapulted to over 4,100 aircraft. The $600 million plant, which will help Airbus fill its huge list of orders for the popular aircraft, will have its official opening Sept. 14.
