EADS, BAE deal dead

Reuters is reporting that the proposed $45 billion merger between EADS and BAE Systems has been called off. It would have been the world's largest defense and aviation merger. BAE said it had become clear the interests of the French, British and German governments could not be reconciled. It would have merged commercial powerhouse EADS, owner of Airbus, with BAE Systems, a major defense company.
